Nicholas Mosse Pottery of County Kilkenny, Ireland, has evolved from
the simple natural shapes of Irish countryware that first inspired
Nick Mosse to a comprehensive array of shapes and patterns that
fit into nearly every home. The pottery is both practical and
beautiful, utilising clean, simple shapes and intricate hand sponged
patterns to lend an air of simple beauty to the product. Each piece
of the pottery is lavished with care by a team of craftspeople who
do everything from mixing their own special clay, throwing it and firing
it, by hand. The final stage of decoration is also done by hand in the
traditional manner by using handcut sponges dipped in pigment to create
the beautiful pattern details. Each piece is individually crafted and no two are alike.
